Market & Client Insights Senior Analyst Segment/Corporate Function Market Insights & Knowledge Management (MI&KM)Reporting to Market & Client Insights Team LeadJob OverviewThe team provides a range of services from information access and delivery (utilizing a number of 3rd-party research subscriptions and WTW proprietary research and data) to primary and secondary research for more complex requests requiring multiple sources and potentially multiple methodologies. Key deliverables include market assessments, company and industry profiles, competitor and competitive analyses, and market trend reports. The role requires a combination of strong research and analytical skills, communications skills, and business acumen in order to participate in and lead research projects as well as engage with our (internal) clients.Conduct secondary market research, including identification of relevant sources of information and aggregation/synthesis of findings Conduct research and information gathering for requests with quick turnaround timeConduct secondary market research including industry, company and competitor researchUse specialized databases to support research and information needs of consultantsAssist team leader with stakeholder management, including regular check-in meetings and review of completed and ongoing work. Develop familiarity with markets and WTW clients through focus on risks and business trendsMajor AccountabilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to: Proficiency in using external research sources, e.g. One Source, Hoovers, Factiva, Lexis-Nexis, Bloomberg, etc.Development of PPT reports documenting study scope, methodologies, key research findings and data analysis, as neededBasic project management as needed, including managing of timeline and milestones.Managing several research projects simultaneouslyDevelop specific market, industry and competitive knowledge which will help in compiling research reports on specific topics, standardised offerings OR bespoke researchDevelop and maintain strong, ongoing, productive working relationship with stakeholders for the provision of Market & Client Insights (M&CI) support services. Participate in regular telephonic discussions, meetings and email communications to understand and interpret complex research requirements, to communicate project status, and to deliver products and services ensuring stakeholder satisfactionCompetenciesHard skills: Ability to comprehend, decode and cull-out essential information from varied data sources and generate crisp, insightful and relevant reports for stakeholders.Exposure to one or more of the following sectors i.e. BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, Telecom & Media, Lifestyle/Leisure, Construction and Real Estate.Strategic acumen to overlay the implications of research findings on our business, e.g. how does a change in an industry s risk profile create a potential opportunity for Willis Towers Watson Strong analytical skills and ability to provide value-added actionable insights Awareness of Marketing and competitive intelligence fundamentals of segmentation, positioning, differentiation, BCG Matrix, Michael Porter s 5 force analysis, PESTLE, SWOT, etc. Basic statistical and excel-based analysis for projects and reports.Ability to develop recommendations and insights based on research findings and represent as graphs, reports and presentations, as needed.Familiarity and working knowledge of languages like Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, etc. would be an added advantageSoft Skills: The ability to work with urgency under tight deadlines.Energized by a highly demanding and result oriented team environment where priorities can change frequently.Strong interpersonal skills with an inquisitive and creative nature. Excellent communication skills and maturity and temperament for handling global clients and senior level management executives.Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages concurrentlyExcellent organizational and communications skillsHas a sense of curiosity , including an interest in current affairs and world eventsAbility to work within a multi-location team environment.Experience: About 3-4 years of consultative research experience in an in-house research team OR with a Captive/KPO firm OR with a third party customized research agency serving multiple clients and experience in the B2B arena. Knowledge of Insurance Industry and its dynamics OR sectors like Oil and Gas, Construction, Aerospace, Marine, etc. OR segments like Talents & Rewards, Human Capital Benefits and Risk & Broking would be an added advantage., Qualifications:

  • University degree in any stream.
  • An outstanding academic record with exposure to Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research or Finance would be preferable.
