Job Description

    Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at [Hotel Name].     • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
    • Develop menus that reflect seasonal availability and meet quality standards.
    • Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to recipes and portion sizes.
    • Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed to minimize waste.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment according to health and safety regulations.
    • Collaborate with restaurant management to plan and execute special events or menu changes.
    • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to specified recipes and plating guidelines.
    • Manage food costs and strive to minimize kitchen expenses while maintaining quality.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques.
    • Uphold high standards of food quality, hygiene, and consistency.
    Requirements:
    • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a hotel or restaurant setting.
    • Extensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Creativity and the ability to develop new dishes and menus.
    • Excellent time management abilities.
    • Certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience preferred.
    • Understanding of food safety practices and health regulations.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
