Marine Safety Officers ensure the safety and compliance of marine operations. Responsibilities encompass conducting safety inspections, implementing safety protocols, and coordinating emergency response procedures. They also manage training programs for maritime personnel.Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols for marine operations.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits of vessels and equipment to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Provide training and guidance to crew members on safety procedures and emergency response plans.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination on safety issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry safety standards and regulations and make recommendations for improvements in safety practices.
• Manage safety documentation and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct drills and exercises to test emergency response plans and evaluate crew preparedness.
