As a hands-on expert in software engineering, you will be responsible for the development of Ansys Platform solutions and supporting systems. In this role, you will use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues, satisfy customer requirements, and accomplish solution development objectives.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork in an agile environment to apply QA practices for the next-generation customer-centric solutionsPerform moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned solutions. Research and resolve problems discovered by QA, field, or customer.Carry out automation feasibility for any new application/moduleAutomating end-to-end integration testsWorking with the team to understand functional requirementsCreation, execution, and maintenance of automation scripts for different applicationContribute to analyzing new quality standards and regulationsContribute to maintaining critical quality system proceduresPerform internal audits and works across teams and business units to investigate and resolve compliance problems.Contribute to quality system initiatives to improve specific quality system processes and/or supporting toolsUnderstand and employ best practicesUnderstand the customer requirements for a solution, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issuesWork under the general supervision of a development managerMinimum Education/Certification Requirements and ExperienceRequired education and degree type: BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldRequired minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS 5 or MS 3Experience with the ISO 9001 standard, safety standards, quality audits and process improvement initiativesGood understanding of QA processHands-on experience with OOPs (object-oriented programming languages)Good hands-on experience in scripting using Python/Java or similar scripting languageExperience in design and maintenance of Selenium or JavaScript automation test frameworksExperience in architecting test automation frameworks as per application needsExperience in automating end-to-end integration testsExperience in UI test automationExperience in manual & automation API testing using tools like Postman.Experience in functional testing and familiarity with nonfunctional testingExperience in test planning, test design and test executionAbility to estimate and plan the workFamiliar with Agile process and CI/CD with Azure DevOps or similar tools.ISTQB Foundation or similar certificationStrong customer focus, ability to work effectively with customers and customer-facing staffLogical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking EnglishStrong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgencyAbility to build trusting relationships and effectively interact with customersProjects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeedAbility to build trusting relationships and effectively interact with customersPreferred Qualifications and SkillsPreferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS 8, MS 6Experience in a large-scale commercial software development environmentAbility to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed teamA thorough and careful approach to work; close attention to detailAbility to take initiative, behave with integrity and respond maturely to management directionCompetent in the use of general office software applications such as mail tools, document editors, spreadsheets, and databasesSkilled in problem-solvingExcellent written and oral communication skillsPractical experience with quality management, and process and risk-based methodsGood knowledge of quality standards (including ISO 9001) and regulationsEducation: Any GraduateIndustry: Software Services, IT-Software
