Job Description

  • Main responsibilities: Lead and Set up the R&D team in India including testing and product engineering
  • Introduction of a complete Huf R&D process into India
  • Drive and provide substantial R&D support for realizing corporate strategic goals and annual work & operation plan
  • Be responsible for technical and R&D management of the assigned areas
  • Supervise and complete the R&D of products, products improvement and product determination
  • Guide and engage in the demand analysis and probability design of new products, organize and involve in technical breakthrough efforts
  • Be responsible for improving the capacities and abilities of the whole R&D department and ensuring long-term personnel planning and development. Align the needed skills and resources with the global R&D team.
  • Ensure cost-effective development of high-quality projects and designed components in accordance with IATF 16949 QMS
  • Align with HQ/global R&D teams concerning project definition, product strategy, technology and R&D processes
  • Budget planning
  • R&D related target setting and tracking
Educational qualification: Bachelor degree or above in mechanical/ electrical or software engineering. Additional business administration background preferred
  • Working experiences: Over 10-year R&D experience in automotive industry, including 5 years experience in similar role such as department head/manager, etc.
  • Professional experience in development or testing of mechanical and mechatronic products including
  • Experience in in leading of international projects and teams
  • Experience in defining state of the art R&D processes for mechanical and mechatronic products including software development
  • Experience in design to cost (VAVE) measures
  • Budget planning and tracking
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 QMS, and automotive industrial 5 tools of APQP, PPAP, FEMA,SPC, and MSA
  • Strong sense of leadership, with a cooperative and strategic mindset
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in Prototyping
  • Experience in German/ European Automotive organization (preference)
