Job Description

  • Support in developing long term strategy and connect with all functions viz; commercial, R&D, P&S, Finance etc.
  • Ensure execution of Veg seeds crop strategy and tactics to meet the business and financial objectives of territory
  • Leads the development of Comprehensive marketing plans and secure effective campaign designs with a specific focus on NPI s
  • To lead and develop a high performance product management, KAM & Marketing services
  • Implement the annual marketing plan in close connection with sales team.
  • Prioritising, adapting and cascading A&P across crops, ensuring successful implementation of campaign plans
  • Act as a contact point for above-Territory functions on strategy and portfolio-related matters for alignment.
  • Develop marketing capability and talent within the team.
  • Leads operational marketing aspects for the territory (e.g. Pre HPC, Pre-SPP, Pricing, PMD etc.) in order to drive best practices available globally
  • Challenges product planning and signs off the MAPS at territory level Secures relevant market, customer and competitor intelligence
Accountabilities
  • Act as a member of the Territory Veg Leadership Team, co-creating the Territory strategic agenda and leading the Territory Marketing Team to coordinate the delivery through all marketing teams.
  • Provide input to Above Territory (AT) Crop teams to ensure that they are tuned to the reality of the Territory markets
  • Lead Territory Portfolio Leadership Team for effective decision making across functions and establish in-territory/CU portfolio teams to maximize value for crops
  • Represent Syngenta Veg in Industry forums and engage with like minded companies to drive common agenda
Business Performance
  • Work with Territory Head Veg SE and align with AT Crops and Assets to develop & implement the Territory strategy and financial targets.
  • Efficient transactional price management by giving a market & competitive environment clubbed with our portfolio performance.
Successful NPI launches & Leverage of expanding products
  • Lead Pricing for NPI, right communication for NPIs
  • R&D / Tech Support to plan trials for commercial positioning
  • Participation in Product advancement tours with key stakeholders
Innovative MarCom , Activations & campaign effectiveness
  • Lead and ensure implementation of product strategies (NPI/ PLCM/) including target segment identification, positioning, campaign for Veg SE
  • Monitor key campaign execution in field and review progress
  • Direction for Promotion materials for the brands for driving the campaigns, Use innovative communication, tools.
  • Ensure delivery of campaign roll out to focus teams, review on regular basis for priority & NPI products
  • Design and utilise digital platforms for innovative campaigns and customer approach
Strategic portfolio management
  • Lead Portfolio management, Pricing of NPI, PLCM, Pre-HPC, Local crop units (TCU s)
  • Drive & validate long term planning to capture 5 year business plan considering market trends in MAPS
  • Portfolio optimization/3rd party strategy defined/aligned for Veg SE (in-/out- licensing)
  • Drive SA strategies for portfolio development in coordination with Regional team, cross functional engagement
  • Expanding the horizon of business planning at product/geography level working for volume, price, and competition scenario

  • Develop and manage a territory crop based product and campaign team by redefining key accountabilities and adjusting ways of working with other functional teams, including:
    • Put in place the necessary activities to ensure business continuity
    • Support development and implementation of new processes/ways of working.
    • Support driving appointment process and fostering mindset change.
  • Establish connectivity with global/APAC crop teams to ensure effective/efficient communication.
  • Identify gap of capability in the team and propose and implement capability development plan
