Job Description

  • Responsible to create data and integration solutions to meet business requirements, in line with Group IT Strategies & Architectures, and Technology Domains.
  • Provides inputs to the ongoing development of these strategies and architectures .
What will you be doing
  • Provide the functional and technical solution architecture and design by front facing business and TC stakeholders
  • Creates data and integration technology solutions at an initial level of detail, to meet business requirements for medium to large scale projects, in line with Group IT Strategies & Architectures, and tech domains:
  • Adding clarity to business requirements
  • Translating business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements
  • Supporting project definition
  • Identifying common or duplicated needs across DaIS landscape
  • Challenges business requirements and demands to ensure high quality candidate solutions are created and considered
  • Applies innovative thinking to support the business in delivering its strategic objectives in line Group Architecture standards and tech domains, rather than just responding to a pre-defined request
  • Supports effective transition of the solution requirement into the DaIS Governance and Change model
  • Maintains ownership of the design throughout the development process.
  • Provides technology perspective input into new product and vendor selection process
  • Supports design & architecture development and governance activities
  • Maintains detailed awareness of, takes fully into account as necessary, and promotes throughout the organisation, any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations, standards and codes of good practice.
  • Contributes as appropriate to the definition of such regulations, standards and codes
  • Is fluent at articulating best practice and is a recognised authority in data and integration practices
  • Takes responsibility for architectural adherence, quality standards and policies
  • Actively contributes to the development and promotion of Corporate Messaging and Utilities
What we re looking for:
  • High level knowledge & experience of industry data and integration patterns and technologies
  • More detailed expertise of specific technical platforms deployed across the Bank (such as Global Data Platforms) and Corporate Data Services
  • Skills that will help you in the role:
  • TOGAF Certified
