Job Description

  • The role holder will have ownership of the architecture strategy of solutions deployed in their technology domain s landscape, along with responsibility for contributing to the functional design and future roadmap for the applications supported
  • The role holder will also be required to support the production support team to with resolution of any incidents requiring development attention
  • Provide technical analysis, infrastructure and application architecture designs and solutions
  • Liaise with upstream and downstream analysis and development teams (in-house and 3rd party vendors) to define requirements
  • Representing project solutions with technical partners and design authorities.
  • Participate in and support planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software
  • Collaborate with technology team members, end users, and other stakeholders in the evaluating and testing of new technology.
  • Participate in the development and execution of strategy, with a focus on developing a solution that achieves the greatest value.
  • Act as a visionary and strategist for solution product area
  • Lead development of formalised solution methodologies
  • Provide quality assurance for services within solution area
  • Extensively worked and supported Java/J2EE applications using Open source frameworks and tools
  • DevOps tools and processes, e.g. TeamCity, bitbucket, Jira, Nolio.
  • Digital platforms, e.g. content management systems (e.g. Abobe Experience Manager), search engines (e.g. Apache Solr).
  • UI Application Frameworks (e.g. Angular5).
  • Working experience in financial industry is a plus.
  • Hands on IT experience
  • Hands on experience in similar architect (or equivalent) role.
  • Full stack technology vision
  • Candidate should have a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Multi-tasker / skilled at balancing parallel workloads
  • Ability to identify, attempt to rectify and appropriately escalate issues and risks
  • Precise (attention to detail)
  • Candidate must also display a willingness to embrace new technologies due to the different systems they will need to support.
  • Strong experience working with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly, to identify and validate requirements and excellent documentation skills
