Job Description

*Role Our client is an enterprise virtualization and storage company & developing various solutions using Python and similar technologies. As a key member of product team responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct requirements and design reviews of new features
  • Design high level test approaches and implement detailed test plans
  • Execute automated and manual tests during product testing phases to find all bugs in your assigned feature area(s)
  • Work closely with the development team to analyze and find root cause of failures
  • File defects and track them to closure
  • Contribute in organizational activities such as recruitment drives, campus hiring, training, writing blogs, Hackathon etc

Key Skills Mandatory Skills:
  • Should have 5 to 10 years of engineering experience in Manual QA testing
  • Expert in breaking complex storage system by designing test loads that would test system to its max capacity
  • Deep understanding of file systems and protocols such as Ext4, ZFS, NFS, and SMB
  • Exposure to SMB 2.1 and 3.x version of protocol, similarly if person on NFS side should have exposure to NFS v3 and v4
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working on NetApp/ Isilon or similar File Server (aka Filers) products
  • Experience in testing clustered/ distributed systems
  • Exposure to internal of Windows or Linux Operating System
  • Experience using virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Xen. VMware and Hyper-V is preferred
  • Exposure to automating functional test cases using Python/ Go/ Perl would be a great plus
