Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.NVIDIA is looking for a creative and experienced Software Project Manager to join its Infrastructure, Planning and Processes organization. In this role, you will be defining, enhancing, evangelizing, rolling out and supporting a Software (SW) Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process across tens of SW projects and several thousand engineers, working on diverse SW projects ranging from GPU SW, Tegra SW, cloud services, open source SW, tools and SDKs.What you will be doing:Be an effective leader in crafting and driving adoption of an SDLC for delivery of high quality SW in an efficient way. You will:

  • Define and enhance SW development process, including content for required activities, guidelines, templates, and compliance checklists across SW requirements, architecture, code development, testing, release, operations, and end-of-life.
  • Engage with SW technical leads, managers, project owners and SW security team to identify areas where SDLC can be made more robust, clear, usable, flexible and efficient.
  • Prepare and contribute in developing an SDLC roadmap.
  • Craft common strategies and efficiency plans with SW teams. Influence multiple SW teams to adopt and partner in continuous improvement of SDLC.
  • Develop and deliver trainings on SDLC.
  • Capture and address questions, issues, change requests and drive them to closure.
  • Drive compliance of SDLC across teams. Define and achieve key performance metrics.
  • Regularly communicate the program status and key issues to management.
  • Navigate and execute complex projects and processes on time with minimal input.
What we need to see:
  • 5 years recent Project Management experience in driving the planning and execution of software engineering and processes, and in releasing commercial products.
  • 3 years previous experience as a software developer or software QA engineer.
  • You have lived the life of a software developer or software QA engineer, and understand the pressures they are under, allowing you to more effectively lead them in projects as well as process.
  • Proven history of Project/Program Management of software products delivered.
  • Experience evaluating and driving adoption of new process workflows.
  • Experience in leading global projects.
  • BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent experience.
