Warm Greeting for the day!Globex is Currently hiring for the ServiceNow Discovery which is in Pune Location.It is Contract-to-hire But a long term Project with them.Here is the Job Description for the requirement,Experience: 5-8 YearsLocation:PunePayroll:Globex
• Responsible for ServiceNow Discovery activities and supports ServiceNow Service Mapping Activities.
• Monitors discovery and service mapping results, reconciling and addressing any anomalies.
• Works with Service Owners and SMEs to ensure that accurate service maps are discovered and maintained.
• Fundamental understanding of networking including TCP/IP ports, firewalls, Network Protocols and IP networks.
• Expert level understanding of CMDB classes
• Working knowledge on clearing CMDB discovery related issues such as duplicate CIs, Port Issues and permission issues etc.
• Implementation/Design of CMDB MID Servers. Proactively plans capacity of ServiceNow MID servers and maintains and configures appropriately. Maintenance and clustering of MID servers
• Hands on expertise implementing Client Scripts, Server Scripts, Glide Scripting, UI Policies, UI Actions, UI Macros and Data Policies, Business Rules, ACLs in ServiceNow
• Scripting knowledge for customization (good to have) not mandatory as we have other in-house developers.
• Integrate ServiceNow with several applications like LDAP, JIRA, Workday, SCCM, Jenkins etc.
• Integration of ServiceNow to Active Directory using the LDAP Integration and Integrating ServiceNow with multiple identities provides using Single-sign-on.
• Creates and maintains custom patterns, probes, and sensors to accommodate internal discovery requirements.
• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix commands, SUDO permissions and other OS environments
• Implementation of cloud-based discovery (internal & external) and discovery for other CI types.
• Establishes, monitors, and maintains discovery schedules.
• Ensures that horizontal discovery and service mapping products are highly available, reliable, and performant.
• Hands-on knowledge on ServiceNow version migration/upgradation and UAT testing.
• Participates in platform upgrade planning, testing, and validation.
• Strong knowledge on ServiceNow modules like AMDB, CMDB, Service Mapping and other ITSM.
• Exposure to third-party tools for integrations like SCCM, Orchestration, Qualys, Orion and similar tool set.
• Working experience of various phases of SDLC such as Requirement Analysis, Design, Code Construction and Test.
• May participate in projects including preparing project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring statuses, coordinating efforts, validating team recommendations, integrating efforts into a comprehensive strategy and delivering results on time.
• Create/Maintain ServiceNow discovery documentation/standard operating procedures documents.
• Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements, flow charts and technical diagrams.
Qualifications Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least ( 4 to 5 years for L3 ) as a ServiceNow Discovery/Service Mapping SME
• Candidate must have very good understanding of IT Infrastructure domain
• Strong analytical, communication and technical skills.
• Strong experience with out of box functionalities and supporting version upgrades efforts
Certifications Preferred:
• ServiceNow Admin, ServiceNow Implementation, ServiceNow Discovery
• ServiceNow: Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping, Implementation, Admin
• ITSM/CMDB/ITOM Certifications
• Industry certifications (CCNA, CompTIA N or A, Oracle, Public cloud, etc.)
