Job Description

The Services Scrum Team is part of the M&A and Service Transition function within the Brand Integration & Operations capability in Service Operations and Engineering (SOE) and will build and deploy the services required as part of an acquisition/divestment/integration. The Service Transition Engineer builds the services required to meet operational requirements, ensuring they are in line with those agreed for provision and that operational teams are ready to operate these services. They will identify the services introduction approach and requirements for each service based on business and technology value and will ensure that Maersk benefits from the Service Transition delivering cost or process synergies, whilst retaining the core value of the transition.The Service Transition Engineer is accountable for: Build and delivery of effective and cost-efficient technology services into SOE in line with services strategy, services operating models and services architecture Change of existing services being provided by SOE resulting from acquisition, divestment or integration Build and delivery of services in line with the services strategy and end state defined by the Services Architecture team Ensuring that the ongoing delivery of services is in line with services target architecture provided by the Services Architecture teamThe Services Transition Engineer role demands an enthusiastic, technically competent individual with at least 5 years experience in a similar technical or service role. The post holder must have a range of technology and service build experience and they must be able to communicate across a range of audiences and stakeholders.It would be a benefit if the individual has experience working in diverse cultural backgrounds with strong relationship management skills to leverage.Show More Key responsibilitiesDesign, build and deploy the services required for transition of new operations and technologies into SOE, including definition and build of operational flows, service management, operational controls and monitoring Update and modify services required for support of existing operations and technologies in SOE, including update of operational flows, service management, operational controls and monitoring Execute ITSM onboarding including creating or updating SNOW Resolver Groups, Approver Groups and Forms supported by ServiceNow Development team where required Update or create CI and SACM data with Service Catalogue Team where required Update or create Service Catalogue entries and link to Cis with Service Catalogue Team where required Document or update existing Run Book documentation and Knowledge Management repositories With SOE teams build or extend Performance and Availability Monitoring solution(s) With ITFMO extend ITFM model and data to enable recharge and cost transparency model Ensure and validate that deployed services align with services strategy, services architecture and services operating model Ensure and validate that deployed services align with OAT and OAC as agreed with Service Owners Certify that transitioned services align with required NFR & FR, SLI/SLO, critical milestones, key service features and requirements of support model Improve the design, build and deployment of services into operations including enhancement of delivery frameworks and modelsShow More We are looking forExtensive knowledge of services methodologies and development principles, challenges, and best practices including hands-on experience in two or more of the following areaso Software engineering including languages such as Java, Go, Python etc. and services frameworks o Configuration and/or development of industry standard enterprise operations workflow tools such as ServiceNowo Engineering and configuration of industry standard application and network monitoring tools such as DataDog, Aternity, Splunk or Elastico Services design, introduction and operation for ITSM & ITFM, Service Desk, Major Incident Management & Command & Controlo Services design, introduction and operation for Command & Control, Insight & Performanceo Services design, introduction and operation for enterprise Network & Voice, End User Devices, and IT Supporto Services design, introduction and operation for Collaboration & Productivity tools and serviceso Services design, introduction and operation for PaaS, IaaS, API, Database and Identity tools and serviceso Services design, introduction and operation for multiple Platforms, Products or Businesses Good understanding of the approach and process required to successfully introduce new and changed services into an enterprise operations function Strong understanding of the technology and tools required to support service operations in a large enterprise Detailed understanding of what is required to run operational services effectivelyShow More,
