Job Description

Summary:

  • Reporting to Sr. Manager Engineering RD India.
  • Works with Junior Senior technical folks in the ACI team.
  • Major duties are owning full responsibility for all product development done by him in Pune India; and interfacing with all the respective Stakeholders.

    • Responsibilities:

  • Assists in software development of assigned project components interpreting requirements effectively and collaborating with cross functional team members including internal Nuance teams as well as 3rd party development partner teams
  • Writes technical specifications for assigned application components or major features/versions including functional specifications and design specifications
  • Leads components of projects and ensures coordination / collaboration across internal stakeholders and vendors; often liaises with distribute teams globally
  • Ensures quality code release to next step in the chain such as QA team
  • Documents and maintains defects and enhancements in the company issue management system
  • Owns and manages a user story and lead smaller design efforts within the context of the Agile methodology
  • Collaborate with scrum team developers to develop new features and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to the success of the scrum team through active and collaborative participation in sprint planning, daily scrums and sprint retrospectives.
  • Enhance, extend, and maintain test automation libraries and frameworks.
  • Solve complex development challenges and work on complex projects with minimal supervision
  • Design and develop automated unit, functional, regression and performance test programs or scripts based on libraries of reusable test code modules or functions.
  • Work with scrum teams to establish and promote best practices, standards and processes for development.
  • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing.

    • Qualifications

    Number of Years of Work Experience: 3-5+

    Required Skills:

  • Experience developing Java Web Applications (Spring, Spring Security)
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORMs (Hibernate)
  • Strong test-driven-developer (Unit, Spock Framework, Mockito)
  • Strong in object-oriented design
  • Experience in multithreaded application development
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with CI/CD (Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLabCI)
  • Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required

    • Preferred Skills: Worked in Product Development Organization

    Education: BE or BTech, preferably EE or CS. Masters is an advantage
