Job Summary: Summary: The CAS group is responsible for Nuance s applications that use clinical language understanding to help medical facilities optimize their operations. We implement customer interfaces and product workflows, architect Azure deployments, integrate technology from other R&D teams, and support the products in deployment.As a Database Engineer in the CAS group, you will be challenged with working with multiple product lines. The candidate would work on building a robust framework for data management (archival, provisioning, streaming, translations) to various applications for CAS platform.Responsibilities:Maintain the logical and physical data for one or more products. Review and implement data modeling decisions, and complex queries for new functionality. Improve the system performance by means such as tuning the queries, identifying indexes and other optimizations. Work with the technical architecture and technical communications teams to maintain the database related portions of the installation guide. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues (e.g., integrity, performance, blocking and deadlocking, connectivity and security). Evaluate impact of database performance, and recommend changes to software development team. Administer the Development, QA and production databases including creation, migration, and upgrades of databases, applying security patches, monitoring storage spaces, tablespaces, and so on. . Research and suggest newer database application features that can be used for improving the product features, efficiency and performance. Perform any other related duties as directed by the reporting manager. Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing QualificationsNumber of Years of Work Experience: 2- 3Required Skills:Basic Knowledge of DBA activities Strong experience in PL/ SQL programming, SQL writing, and performance tuning Expert level knowledge of SQL Server including differences between different editions, Experience in ETL tools and technologies is added plus Strong analytical skills Experience in building applications in CI environment Good understanding of noSQL databases. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with Agile development methodology; preferably scrum Ability to thrive in fast- paced, dynamic environment Preferred Skills:Git Jira including process workflow design Bitbucket Education: BE, B.
