In this role, you will work in two major categories which are on-site delivery and consulting, working with sales and presales. For the onsite delivery work, as a Senior Consulting Architect you will work closely with customers on various specific initiatives, including architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance of various Red Hat product solutions like Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Ceph Storage, Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation, and others. You will also support other consultants, associates, and partners in developing best practices and methods. For opportunity pursuit engagement work, as a Senior Consulting Architect, youll work with sales and presales in solutions and scope or deal shaping to define the scope of work, estimate the effort, and explain the scope to the customer. We ll need you to apply your technical expertise, passion for open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and ability to identify and create services solutions across multiple technology platforms at the enterprise level. You ll also need excellent communication and people skills because youll be a crucial part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat services delivery. Primary job responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted adviser for Red Hat engineers and project and technical managers to deliver and implement the right solutions for our customers
• Serve as a subject matter expert on site, addressing customers technical, development, and IT issues and needs
• Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs
• Adapt to changing customer requirements
• Manage technical problem identification and resolution; support system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
• Participate in internal initiatives, create consulting whitepapers, and update the knowledge base
• Keep stakeholders updated on issues that may affect project or company performance
• Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions, and handle sensitive conversations in a professional manner
• Conduct a design workshop for customer requirements gathering and requirements to consider and suggest the appropriate solution architecture to meet the customer s requirements, expectations, and apply Red Hat s best practices
• Work with the service delivery manager (SDM) to collaborate with sales or presales in recommendations for development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions
• Work with SDM to support sales and presales to recommend the proposed solution, define scope, and write the statement of work (SOW)
• Work collaboratively with the account manager and presales team to ensure excellent customer experience with our scope offerings and solutions
• Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for the customers, account manager, and presales, and gain the trust of IT professionals, and build long-lasting relationships within our key accounts
• Demonstrate expertise by delivering discovery workshops, scope definition, and conference speeches for professional services perspective; share knowledge with your team members to allow them to learn from your work

Required skills

• Experience in implementing Red Hat OpenStack Platform and Red Hat Openshift Container Platform, and other Red Hat products like Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Red Hat Application Services, or equivalent
• Experience in designing architecture for Red Hats software solution or equivalent e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), virtualization, and cloud technologies, or equivalent
• Experience conducting design workshops for enterprise customers and partners
• Experience with system customisation and development, including system performance tuning, building customised distributions, and working with enterprise hardware like SAN-based storage and enterprise customers in banking industry, telco, insurance, manufacturing, and others
• Ability to define and promote a technology roadmap and journey with our customers
• Good communication, presentation, and good English speaking and writing skills
• Good SOW development skills, and technical discussion and presentation skills
• 5+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on a range of development and deployment projects
• Extensive analytical and problem-solving skills, define scope and technical discussion to propose appropriate solutions to the customer in alignment with Red Hat best practices
• Knowledge of technologies like clustering, directory services, high availability, DC/DR, authentication, security, and identity management
• Knowledge of methodology like DevOps, DevSecOp, agile, enterprise architecture, and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
• Experience in continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), DevOps, and application development background is a plus
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification or equivalent combination of skills and experience is a plus
