Senior Business Intelligence EngineerLocation PunePosting date 5 hours ago(5/25/2021 11:39 AM)Job ID 82757 Category Information Technology Job summary The Red Hat Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will design, develop, and test solutions for relevant business needs in an open and collaborative environment. Youll collaborate with Red Hat s internal business stakeholders to enable data-driven decisions for managing the end-to-end life cycle of our offerings. As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you ll need to be well-versed in data analysis, design, and development concepts for a large data warehouse and you should have experience supporting critical production applications. Primary job responsibilities

  • Add new data sources to our cloud-based data warehouse using extract, transform, load (ETL) tools and custom connectors as needed
  • Design and develop SQL-based views in our data warehouse to enable multi-sourced data analysis
  • Perform adequate unit tests for applications developed and validate expected results
  • Modify existing universes to provide defect fixes
  • Troubleshoot reported defects to determine root causes
  • Peer review code created by other team members
Required skills
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field
  • 8+ years of demonstrated frontend and Symantec layer development experience
  • Record of building innovative solutions
  • Understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing, and data transformation
  • Advanced experience with SQL and PL/SQL coding
  • Extensive knowledge of data warehousing tools, patterns, and processes
  • Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
  • Ability to perform problem analysis, resolution, and documentation
  • Ability to convey key stakeholder insights through data storytelling
  • Good coding skills according to published standards and design guidelines
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Knowledge of columnar databases like Amazon Redshift
  • Comfortable with ETL tools like Informatica Cloud or Pentaho
  • Ability to visualize data in tools like Tableau
  • Extensive experience working with financial data and customers on internal finance teams
  • Working experience in any analytical tool
  • Python knowledge is a plus
