    • Job Summary
    • The primary responsibility of this role is to understand key requirements of customer with regard to Electrical rooms, Integrated Power Assembly (IPA). IPA is a steel structure similar to the container wherein several electrical equipment gets integrated. Role demands detailed understanding of overall spend, BOM study & eventually realize the cost optimization. Its expected to build the cost out portfolio w/ business alignment & realize the saving. Candidate is expected to have understood of various cost out methodologies & basic knowledge of plant processes. .
    • Job Responsibilities
    • Understanding of Integrated Power Assembly (IPA), Electrical rooms,
    • Understand system, component sizing, BOM to meet customer requirements
    • Close collaboration with Global Procurement Organization & Product divisions to generate cost out opportunities.
    • The applicant will be responsible for working on various aspects of Direct Material Productivity with the primary goal of identifying, developing, and maintaining services that deliver significant cost out opportunities as well as creating a robust pipeline of executable cost out projects.
    • The applicant should have capability to analyses commodity spend data & leverage data analytics & ideation principles to create new project opportunities.
    • The incumbent needs to have an in-depth knowledge of requirements related to electrical components, IPA design and application, including duty cycle attributes.
    • The incumbent needs to have an ability to develop design guidelines for these components along with an ability to develop test protocols.
    • Build & execute the enterprise-wide strategic projects for LATAM Electrical business working with global procurement leaders.
    • Build & execute the strategic and operational plans for Resourcing, Negotiation, Part Rationalization to achieve measurable outputs in terms of cost out goals.
    • Execute low hanging quick hit projects thru Negotiation/Resourcing.
    • Understanding of seismic requirements, testing experience would be advantage.
    • Effectively utilize EIIC Eco-system like Test Lab, Digital Org, CDP&T capabilities for building & maturing the cost out portfolio.
    • Come up with NTI/NPI ideas, pitch them in water lining, get the funded projects & drive them to launch.
    QualificationsRequirement:
    • Qualifications
    • Education level required:
    • Bachelors degree in engineering preferably Mechanical.
    • Years and area of experience required:
    • 4-6 Years.
    • Technical knowledge:
    • Demonstrated capability in cost out portfolio building
    • Execution drive for cost out realizations
    • Knowledge of Electrical products, Electrical Substations
    • Understanding of BOM, spend analysis
    • Knowledge of resourcing, negotiation
    • Experience of gathering customer requirements
    • Experience of leveraging analytics for cost out feasibility study, demonstrations, developing proposals.
    • Soft skills:
    • Influencing Skills, Presentation Skills, Good at communication.
