This position supports Plant Manufacturing and Technical Operations while maintaining a strong focus on continual Process Improvement and Optimization. Applies fundamental knowledge of basic principles, theories and concepts of industry standards and practices to design, automate, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes used in processing or manufacturing products.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelops, designs, and communicates manufacturing processes.Monitors and revises processes to help generate cost savings and improve the quality and efficiency of product/process.Participates in design reviews to improve the ability to manufacture products.Responsible for the activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and performing process characterization and optimization studies using designed experiments, problem-solving and decision making tools.Identifies and solves issues or problems with equipment/process. Troubleshoots possible causes and coordinates the activities of maintenance, production and other available resources to implement cost effective solutions.Provides coordination of new process installation and process changes.Conducts or actively participates in materials testing to facilitate scale up to productionContribute to product platform development through application of statistical experimental design, product testing, and data analysisIdentify material and other functional specifications to meet customer requirementsSupports marketing and sales through development of product and application dataAbility to serve as technical resource to other team membersCoordinates with manufacturing partners to establish quality and testing conditions for new ProductsInvestigates and prepares reports related to production problems/improvements, customer complaints/inquiries, material reconciliation, process deviations, efficiency, and schedule variancesHave the ability to utilize analytical skills in the areas of heat/mass transfer, unit operations, fluid dynamics, and kinetics. Understand the link between automation and chemical/mechanical production processes and suggest ways to improve the processes via refined automation.Lead and write feasibility studies to solve problems, introduce improvements related to the production process, infrastructure, capacity, efficiency, modernization, process safety.Supports the handling of operation complaints (root cause analysis, defines and execute preventive and corrective actions together with other parties concerned). Participates in the IP hurdle review and advice on plant modifications which involve (major) process and equipment changes to ensure compliance with technical, technological, economical and EHS-constraints.Other projects/duties as assigned.Education & Competencies required for the JobEducation: Bachelor s degree in Engineering - Polymer or Mechanical or equivalent education.ExperienceCross functional - Process improvement - minimum 3-4 yearsManufacturing operations - minimum 3-4 yearsPersonal Skills: Intermediate proficiency in followingTime and priority managementReading/comprehensionStress managementWork on a teamSelf motivatedOrganizational skills,
