  • The position, Principal Software Engineer, is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of complete software tool solutions related to a segment of Veritas products
  • Represents the organization as the principal customer/stakeholder contact and often performs project leadership role.
  • Uses professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways.
  • May determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Work is accomplished without considerable direction. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment. May provide guidance to lower level individuals but has no formal supervisory responsibility.
(Must have)
  • 10 years of experience as a software developer
  • Strong focus on Engineering practices (TDD, CI/CD, Pairing, Clean coding techniques)
  • Experience designing the overall architecture of enterprise level application
  • Able to lead design discussions, complete code reviews, drive best practices, collaborate with other development teams and cross-functional organizations, and interact directly with our stakeholder groups
  • 6-8 years of advanced knowledge in a Microsoft Technologies - C#.NET Core, Windows Application Development, WPF, LINQ, Multithreading, RESTful/SOAP API, Socket Programming, Entity Framework, MVC.
  • Excellent knowledge of database concepts and experience with relational databases like MS SQL Server, MySQL/ Maria DB, Oracle
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git/BitBucket
  • Demonstrated passion for quality, innovative approach to solving problems and customer-first attitude are required.
  • Strong analytical thinking skill and ability to analyze and optimize existing software applications for purpose of maintenance or redesign.
  • Multi-tasked between two or more projects
  • Deliver valuable increments of software every sprint in an Agile software development life-cycle
(Nice to have)
  • Experience with Veritas Products
  • Experience with bug tracking and Agile tools like Jira
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with AWS/Azure
(Education)
  • Requires a Master s or Bachelor s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills in English.
