Job Description

Description: General responsibilities and expectations include but not limited to :

  • This is NOT an operational role. This is an engineering role and performance expectations will reflect as such. Prescriptive instructions for task fulfillment will not be provided.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience is expected in candidates area of expertise.
  • Previous experience in technical project leadership role
  • Ability to mentor fellow Network Engineers on techniques and best practices
  • Ability to communicate written and verbal clearly and concisely, to peers, management and business stakeholders.
  • Research/ analyze /define /propose /design /document /implement solution to achieve business objectives.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work without supervision on large and/or extended term projects.
  • Excellent Troubleshooting skills are a must in this position.
  • Knowledge and understanding of common project management concepts
  • Knowledge and understanding of general ITIL concepts
  • Agile project team experience is required
  • Superior documentation skills
Specific responsibilities and expectations include but not limited to :
  • Expert level knowledge of Cisco next-gen ASA/FTD/Firepower platforms and associated management systems
  • Expert level knowledge and experience working with Checkpoint appliance platforms and all associated management systems
  • Excellent understanding of VPN technologies (site-to-site, remote access client, IPSec, IKE, tunnel modes, SSL/clientless/AnyConnect, tunnels between firewalls, routers)
  • Advanced level technical knowledge of Cisco route/switch and associated protocols
  • Experience using NAC solutions from Cisco or Aruba for integration with wireless and wired infrastructure
  • Knowledge of cloud reference architectures and AWS/ GCP best practices including network, IaaS, and SaaS offerings
  • Familiarity with L4 security services available for ACI, OpenStack, and NSX.
