Job Description

  • Lead & steer the project from start to end and ensure that the Q, C and D targets are adhered to in each project in line with NPD process.
  • Prepare business case preliminary assessment along with aggregate leader.
  • Ensure that customer voice is captured through QFD and correct specifications are communicated to all concerned including aggregates.
  • Ensure effective implementation of systems / processes such as New Product Development /MPDS, Project Management and Policy Deployment.
  • Co-ordinate with engineering aggregates, Proto Validation and manufacturing for the smooth testing & production of product.
  • Ensure the testing plan is adhered to and testing feedback/ corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure concern resolution of product post launch arising out of field till the project is handed over to the PVT team.
  • Ensure usage of systematic & structured processes/ tools to define problems, establish cause effect relationship & root cause identification to aid decision making.
  • Ensure that the business case is viable at DRO and to ensure periodic review to capture & monitor QCD parameter at every DR stage to take appropriate call for Go-No Go/Gate signal along with aggregate leaders.
  • Conduct the Project reviews with the project team (CFT) to monitor progress on QCD targets and ensure proper integration of overall aggregates of right Q, C & D and to test & evaluate the same to meet product & performance specifications as agreed in the business case.
  • Co-ordination with PD aggregates to source/ modify designs and expertise and maximize inputs from different agencies.
  • Identify and implement world-class design processes and development systems (such as PDP)
  • Ensure composite project ratings assessment of the projects in consultation with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Drive the CFT with high motivation to ensure that the team attains QCD targets.
  • Risk analysis and mitigation Proactively anticipate risks and prepare risk mitigation plan.
  • Synchronize project by resolving Conflicts/ concerns in the project CFT.
  • Engage & energized team effectively by using various capability building mechanisms to achieve business goals.
