Job Description

    Job descriptionKey Responsibilities:
    • System Maintenance & Support: Manage and support IBM mainframe systems, including z/OS, CICS, and DB2, ensuring high availability and performance.
    • Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce latency.
    • Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve complex mainframe issues, including hardware, software, and network-related problems.
    • System Upgrades & Patches: Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes with minimal disruption to business operations.
    • Backup & Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery capabilities.
    • Security Management: Implement and enforce security measures to protect mainframe systems from unauthorized access and potential threats.
    • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, developers, and business units to support mainframe applications and resolve system-related issues.
    • Project Involvement: Participate in projects related to mainframe system enhancements, migrations, and integrations.
    Required Qualifications:
    1. Experience: 5-10 years of experience working with IBM Mainframe technologies, including z/OS, CICS, DB2, and related tools.
    2. Skills: Proficiency in mainframe programming languages (e.g., COBOL, JCL, REXX) and knowledge of mainframe architecture and system design.
    3. Tools: Experience with mainframe management tools such as Tivoli, BMC, or CA products.
    • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator, IBM Certified Application Developer) are a plus
    Location: Pan IndiaCTC Depends upon the previous CTC. (open budget)
