Job Description

The India Lead is a role that manages staff in India providing mainframe and distributed support in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment spanning the globe. You will ensure that proper support is available for all activities in the information technology environment and that adequate skilled resources are present to ensure smooth functioning. You will advise on appropriate procedures for executing on support issues. You will provide full production support in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment. You will manage first line break fix maintenance activities for OST platforms You will manage and track staffing on projects to ensure that initiatives are implemented in an efficient manner. You will collect data on infrastructure performance for senior management to evaluate. You will participate in the recruiting process, instructs, assigns, directs and reviews the work of production services team members and provides ongoing feedback. You ll contributes to the achievement of team objectives both regionally and globally working with regional managers.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that combined capabilities of Production services satisfies business objectives
  • Own the relationship with the business for application production support issues
  • Own the relationship with Production Services Head
  • Oversee and train a team of L1 and L2 support personnel dedicated to maintaining the stability of applications
  • Manage and develop talent to best support BAU application requests and support requirements
  • Apply all enterprise policies to support the rotation, performance rating and advancement of the application production support team
  • Lead strategic workforce planning strategies to better manage workload for the application support team and to ensure optimal resource utilization and global coverage
  • Stay abreast of all risk and compliance requirements and ensure that the application support meets all requirements
  • Ensure that all policies, processes and guidelines by SMO are adhered to within the application support team
  • Encourage a culture of knowledge management and continual improvement in the team
  • Lead and orchestrate incident analysis and resolution for select incidents
  • Selecting staff and providing work assignments.
  • Directing the work of technology personnel, setting priorities and coordinating their activities.
  • Evaluating and verifying employee performance against goals and qualitative expectations.
  • Identifying and ensuring staff development programs.
  • Maintain staffing coverage schedules.
  • Maintaining and determining standard operational support procedures.
  • Preparing different reports when and wherever required and providing in the moment status updates to senior leaders during incidents.
QualificationsAdvanced degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.12+ years of experience in information technology required, at least 4 years of experience managing and directing systems development or systems maintenance project teams.
