Job Description

*Job Purpose:

  • The Business Analyst is expected to perform business/operations workflow analysis and identify areas where manual work can be reduced by automating those tasks using intelligent tools. In addition, the Business Analyst will have some QA/UAT involvement, Project Management responsibilities, and will be expected to participate in existing client/BAU support activities
Job Background/Context:
  • We are looking for a Business/Data analyst with 7+ years of experience in Reference data area. A successful candidate will act as an SME for NLP based tools like SEAL & automatic documentation creation using EXARI tool. In addition, the Business Analyst will be involved in building and enhancing our proprietary reference data solutions to cater to new requirements and also have some testing involvement, Project Management responsibilities, and will be expected to participate in existing client support activities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze documents for getting key attributes for the business (Legal/Bankers/any other)
  • Create business rules in extraction tool SEAL
  • Conduct multiple rounds of testing for attribute quality
  • Create adapter logic for additional improvements to attribute extractions
  • Data Modelling
  • Consult with subject matter experts
  • Communicate business concepts and expected functional behaviour to developers
  • Independently manage assigned projects
  • Participate in scrum meetings
  • Liaison directly with operations team to get details and give project updates
  • Collaborate across teams for being best to our clients
Skills:
  • Bachelor s degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience
  • Working experience of 3-4 years minimal as Business Analyst, majority of it in Financial Services domain
  • Hands on experience in SEAL and EXARI tools
  • Financial Knowledge on Securities/Products
  • SQL knowledge - Data analysis and mapping (able to query data, analyze and map)
  • Data Oriented with an excellent attention to detail
  • Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and writing skills, including solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to be assertive
  • Ability to focus on high quality work while under pressure
Competencies:
  • Must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities
