The DIT team is focused on customer-facing innovation that delivers new value from our offerings.About the role you will be applying for.We are seeking hardworking, motivated engineers to join our team to build and manage products hosted on Acquia Cloud Platform. This offering is integrated with our Acquia Cloud product and has specific features for our NodeJS ( link ) customers This team utilizes the latest tools, technologies and patterns to solve these complex business problems building on top of AWS leveraging technologies like Kubernetes using the latest development trends in Golang and more. Our work scales to support Acquia s thousands of customers who trust us to deliver their digital brands and experience across the world to millions of users each day.As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be

  • Developing and Maintaining applications in GoLang or Ruby or PHP.
  • Building a new container-based platform and workflows that leverage Docker and Golang running on a Kubernetes.
  • Leveraging Kubernetes patterns like operators and controllers to help modernize existing applications
  • Developing and operating services written in Golang, PHP, Bash scripts, and other languages
  • Operating within a team that helps effectively develop, maintain, and support the development of products
  • Partnering and collaboration with other engineering teams, like UI, API, DevOps, Quality Engineering, and various subject matter experts
  • Diagramming and documenting current and future architectural plans sufficiently that necessary stakeholders can understand how new technologies introduced will work
  • Working in an Agile Scrum team.
To be successful in this role, you must have
  • 1.5+ yrs of development experience in Golang, Ruby or PHP
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Comfortable working on Linux stack.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development, continuous refactoring and an eye for simplicity.
  • A team player committed to a great culture and work-life balance
  • An avid learner willing to work within an evolving, fast paced environment
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good team player.
  • Comfortable under pressure and welcomes new challenges
You may get bonus points if you have experience with.
  • Cloud hosting experience such as Amazon Web Services or Google Compute
  • Linux OS system experience with Ubuntu, RHEL or Amazon Linux.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript or NodeJS
  • Kubernetes application development and microservices architectures
