Besides Development , Product management and Help desk (L1,L2) operations are supported from GDO giving an advantage for the team here to learn and understand customer requirements better and thereby build product features that deliver customer value.What will you be doing:FIS is looking for a highly capable Associate Director Development possessing an enthusiastic and pro-active approach to join the Order Management team for Valdi US. This team is responsible for executing various development projects for our flagship product in the US Equities Trading markets. Being a real-time system, the demand for performance in terms of latency and time to market are crucial factors which this individual will be accountable for. You will be a product champion, a great team player with encouraging approach with cross functional teams. • Understand the customer requirements, map them to functionality in the FIS and third-party products and achieve a common understanding of the goal with the customer/Product Management
• Establishes operational objectives and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates.
• Keep track of the effort estimations and overrun for each of the development projects. Defines measurable metrics for implementations and improves them on on-going basis
• Ensure Management reporting and Client reporting with a weekly-monthly frequency.
• Must have managed multiple implementations in parallel in past experience
• Manager of Strategic & Client Funded Roadmap. Responsible to build a team and deliver on strategic roadmap.
• Build a motivated and successful team and lead it towards common goals
• Key decisions on hiring right talent, onboarding and training on required skillsets
• Work with multiple stakeholders to arrive at agreement on change in plans of delivery and communicate proactively
• Drive stretch goals, supported by data (metrics)

What you bring:

• 13 to 15 years of industry experience with 10+ years of experience in a product-based company
• Trading domain experience in US markets for 10+ years
• Significant experience of leading 30+ team of developers/QA
• Good exposure in Linux, JAVA, & .Net technology and in-depth knowledge of FIX protocol. Must have led projects in these areas
• Smart and Intelligent thinking with a talent to solve problems using technology rather than people; Automation is the key
• Extensive software development/delivery experience & previous experience using Agile / Lean practices and methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English), proactive communication, proven technical ability and demonstrable clarity of thought
• Must have led some successful migration projects like technology upgrade
• Exposure to Cloud and projects implemented in cloud; Experience of ramping up key technical expertise within team
• Involvement in production support and dealing with the nuances of getting product deployed on time.
• Experience of driving release deployment to production with first hand support for initial days/weeks of product release.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity
• Extremely self-driven, motivated, entrepreneurship attitude
