Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Financial Management and Reporting:
      • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
      • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
      • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
    2. Accounts Receivable and Payable Management:
      • Monitor accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
      • Manage accounts payable, ensuring invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.
      • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow to maintain the companys financial health.
    3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
      • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
      • Monitor budget performance and analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures.
      • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business planning and decision-making.
    4. Team Management:
      • Supervise and lead the accounts team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
      • Delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
      • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the accounting department.
    5. Compliance and Internal Controls:
      • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
      • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
      • Liaise with external auditors during audits and ensure all required documentation is provided.
    6. Client and Stakeholder Relationship Management:
      • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, addressing any financial concerns or queries.
      • Negotiate payment terms and manage credit control to minimize bad debts.
      • Act as a point of contact for financial matters with clients, suppliers, and partners.
    7. Financial Systems and Process Improvement:
      • Oversee the implementation and optimization of accounting software and financial systems.
      • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial management.
      • Ensure that financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible for reporting purposes.
