Job Description

The Controls Testing & Execution role works across 1LoD Business Units and Functions providing management with informed opinion on the effectiveness of controls they operate to mitigate material risks.The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering their portfolio of Controls Testing in line with quality and timeline expectations supervising the work of a team of 9-10 Testers and performing testing work themselves, ensuring that conclusions are sound, and the results of testing are accurately reflected in high quality written reports.Candidates will need to articulate findings from testing work to senior stakeholders, raise issues where appropriate, and agree actions plans to mitigate risks identified Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to work in partnership with a wide variety of stakeholders across CCO, Business Units and Functions, plus Risk teams and Internal Audit to ensure Controls Testing is undertaken efficiently with minimum impact on business as usual activities, and to ensure the results of Controls Testing are fully understood.What will you be doing Manage and coordinate all aspects of testing activity provided to BUK by the Control Testing Service. Own the development of the BUK Controls Testing plan, identification of risk focused topics with Business stakeholers and other Assurance teams. Lead, manage and provide support to BUK testing staff. Deliver a portfolio of risk based control testing work across the front to back BUK businesses. Oversee testing work performed, challenging control design and operating effectiveness. Review and approve working papers, testing reports and quarterly updates provided to the business. Facilitate discussion and agreement on the outpust of testing work with stakeholders. Accountable for the accuracy of data in the Controls Testing Tool (CTT). Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, represent the Controls Testing at key meetings, working groups and deputise for Controls Testing management as necessary.What we re looking for : Undergraduate degree or relevant business experience realting to BUK business / products; Extensive experience (approx. 14+ years) in one or more of the following: Internal/External Audit; Operational Risk Management; or Risk and Control related discipline; Experience of working in a Bank or Financial Services; Excellent understanding of risk and control assessment techniques; and Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work in a matrix organisation.Skills that will help you in the role Specialist Risk and/or Control-related qualification formal accreditation / qualification relating to audit, risk and/or control etc.; and Knowledge of the Financial Services regulatory environment; Experience with data analytics tools and techniques Prior experience in team leadership and people management.Where will you be working NoidaBe More at Barclays At Barclays, each day is about being more as a professional, and as a person.
