Job DescriptionFamily DescriptionCustomer Services (CS) covers customer service in different areas such as technical support, account support, operations, maintenance, network design / deployment / integration / transformation, and education. Generates revenue and the increase of customer satisfaction through planning, designing, deploying, integrating, optimising, operating, and maintaining phases.Subfamily DescriptionEnd-to-End family (E2E) comprises the support of customers across different Business Units/Business Groups as needed, in line with contractual service agreements and internal Nokia stakeholders in pre- and post-sales activities with technical and non-technical topics. Ensures readiness of service delivery and covers the provision of recommendations to product houses on design for serviceability aspects. Contains escalation of key issues to appropriate functions.ResponsibilitiesSr Deployment Engineer plays a crucial role in the planning, implementation, and. maintenance of network services for customers.Implementation and Deployment: Configure and deploy network equipment and services according to the design specifications. Install, test, and troubleshoot Nokia routers, switches, and other networking devices. Ensure proper integration with existing customer infrastructure. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers and other engineers.Quality Assurance and Testing: Conduct thorough testing of deployed services to ensure functionality, performance, and security. Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the network configuration. Perform acceptance testing with customers to validate the deployed solutions.Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers during and after the deployment phase. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues promptly. Communicate effectively with customers to gather information, explain technical details, and ensure customer satisfaction.Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Create as-built documentation for reference and future maintenance.Security Implementation: Implement security measures to protect the network and customer data. Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.Capacity Planning: Monitor network performance and usage trends. Collaborate with the capacity planning team to anticipate future network needs and scalability requirements.Training: Provide training and knowledge transfer to customers or internal staff as needed. Stay current with industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other engineering teams, support teams, and external vendors. Communicate effectively with different stakeholders, including customers and internal teams.Emergency Response: Respond to and resolve network emergencies or outages promptly. Participate in on-call rotations to address critical issues outside regular business hours.Required SkillsMust have : Bachelor/ Master Degree in Engineering 10- 20 years of experience in the telecom industry, dealing with IP technologies. Knowledgeable in Virtualization, SDN & NFV concepts, and related technologies. Knowledgeable in E2E Mobile Solutions, Mobile & Packet Core concepts and related technologies Knowledgeable in Network Management Systems, networking concepts, and related technologies. Hands-on experience including design, build, deployment, trouble-shooting & fault-finding, etc. Nokia SRA/Virtuoso, Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE, or equivalent Certification are a plus. Excellent in designing and deploying networking equipment, SDN and NFV products & technologies Detailed understanding of IP/MPLS concepts, related technologies, and protocols Experienced in configuring and/or designing Network Management Systems in carrier networks Proficient in scripting in both networking and virtualized environments Strong data center networking knowledge Experience with carrier networking protocols (BGP/MPLS/etc), VPNs, QoS, Multicast, Security, etc. Experience deploying KVM, VMWare, OpenStack or CloudStack, OpenFlowTechnologies/Products: Nokia IP Router portfolio - 7x50 XRS/SR/ESS/SRa, 7250 IXR and 7705/7210 portfolio Nokia SDN & NFV portfolio VSR, NSP, TelcoCloud, DC Fabric. etc. RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, Java, Python/Perl etc. VMWare ESXi, vCloud/vCenter, OpenStack, CloudStack, OpenFlow, KVM, Xen, Hyper-VSocial Skills: Proven record in customer focus Analytical problem solver Flexible Eager to learn, willing to invest in continuous learning Fluent in English written and verbal communicationAbout UsCome create the technology that helps the world act togetherNokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
