Job Description

    The National Business Head is a senior sales leadership role and will lead sales and business development of a premium Writing Instrument brand in the largest contributing General Trade channel pan-India. The role holder will head the national sales and distribution network. The role holder will also work closely with the brand and product development team to build brand in India over the long term.Key Responsibilities: 1. Deliver Sales, Market Share and Profitability goals for the product range for the company 2. Distribution Reach and range enhancement 3. Drive salesforce productivity through existing systems; Lead development of new systems and processes as needed 4. Best-in-class visibility and merchandising execution at point-of-sale across channels 5. Sales network infra development and management (super-distributors, distributors, sales team) 6. Budget tracking and managementThis role will lead a team of 6-8 Regional Business Managers and ASMs/Sales Executives across India. and will report to the Chief Operating Officer, India business. It will involve close collaboration with internal cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Supply Chain, Commercial and HR, along with external stakeholders like channel partners and customers.Professional experience: Minimum 15 years of FMCG sales experience with experience of leading atleast 2 regions or 1 national role Should have led large internal and external sales teams Category experience not essential, but should have worked with product categories involving large-scale distribution and point-of-sale marketing, and in organisations with structured sales and distribution systems and processes Brand management and marketing experience will be valued Strong track record of business performance and team leadership Premier MBA (Tier-1/2 B School) preferred but not mandatory Personal Attributes: Strong leadership and collaboration skills Opportunity-seeking mindset Strong planning and analytical skills High execution focus Self-starter with speed and agility,
