Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Engineer (Electrical) to oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems for solar power projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, solar PV systems, and site management, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Key Responsibilities
    • Installation and Commissioning:
      • Oversee the installation of electrical components for solar PV systems, including inverters, transformers, and wiring.
      • Ensure all installations comply with electrical codes, standards, and project specifications.
      • Commission and test electrical systems to verify performance and safety.
    • Site Management:
      • Supervise site activities and manage on-site teams, including electricians and subcontractors.
      • Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
      • Coordinate with other site engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
    • Technical Support:
      • Provide technical guidance and support to installation teams.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during construction and operation phases.
      • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems.
    • Documentation and Reporting:
      • Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, tests, and inspections.
      • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to project management.
      • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and complies with regulatory requirements.
    • Health and Safety:
      • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on-site.
      • Conduct safety training and briefings for site personnel.
      • Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses.
    Qualifications
    • Education:
      • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
      • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar PV systems.
      • Proven track record of managing electrical installations for large-scale solar projects (upto 20MW).
    • Technical Skills:
      • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
      • Proficient in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst).
      • Familiarity with SCADA systems and other monitoring tools.
