Job Description

    Job descriptionWe are looking for banquet captains, responsibilities include planning, organizing, and overseeing events at hotels, restaurants, and private events. Their main goal is to ensure that guests are happy and satisfied, and they often act as a liaison between the event host, guests, staff, and other departments. Here are some of the tasks a banquet captain might perform: Planning: Review the events budget, location, start time, menu, and other details. They may also consider the needs of the room, buffet, table linens, and decor. Staffing: Check the schedule to ensure there are enough staff members to meet service standards. They may also assign responsibilities to team members and train new staff. Set-up: Organize work and oversee the set-up, service, and breakdown of the event. They may also check table decorations. Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with staff, other captains, the chef, and management. They may also stay in touch with the host throughout the event. Guest services: Welcome guests, help with seating, and respond to their inquiries or complaints. Food and beverage: Coordinate food and beverage orders. Sanitation: Ensure that sanitation rules are followed. Inventory: Manage inventory and maintain documentation.
