For a sneak peek into life at allnex, dont miss our !Position overviewAre you interested in working in an analytical laboratory environment and have extensive understanding of analytical techniques and instrumentation allnex invites you to join our dynamic R&D team as an Innovation Research Analytical Scientist based in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will be leading analytical projects, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of analytical data, and contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes.If you are organized and enjoy conducting analytical experiments, this is the career for you!Responsibilities

  • Responsible for calibrating and maintaining various instruments such as GPC, DSC, GC-MS, and FT-IR.
  • Analyze raw materials and develop test methods for solvents, monomers, new RMs, intermediates, and finished products using various instruments.
  • Developing and validating analytical methods.
  • Effective calibration and troubleshooting of instruments.
  • Reporting and documenting analytical results.
  • Preparing SOP for analytical instruments.
  • Provide technical instrumentation support to QC at the production site.
  • Preparing documents such as SOPs for various instruments, test methods and product requirements, and analytical results.
  • Conducting audits and adhering to ISO standards for analysis and reporting.
  • Analyze and interpret complex analytical data to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and summarize analytical findings and recommendations.
  • Complete work assigned by HOD within timeframes.
Required skills and experience
  • 6 - 10 years of hands-on experience in an analytical laboratory environment, with extensive knowledge of analytical techniques and instruments.
  • Progressive experience in the chemical/coating/polymer resins industry.
  • Experienced in laboratory material characterization and coating application for film analysis, including comparative benchmarking with competition samples.
  • Expertise in the theory, methods, and design of diverse resins, including acrylic polyol, polyester polyol, alkyds, aminos, SB and WB resins.
  • Ability to interpret characterization results from multiple instruments, including DSC, GPC, GC-MS, and FT-IR.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in analytical planning, data analysis, record keeping, and clear reporting of outcomes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good conceptual thinking abilities, ability to transform complex concepts into straightforward communications, both written and orally.
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish things appropriately.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Follow organizational work ethics.
  • Demonstrates ability to complete allocated tasks on schedule.
Qualifications
  • Master Degree or PhD in Science, Organic/Analytical Chemistry, with affinity for and practical experience on the preparative side.
