  • The primary purpose of this role is to run the Benefits, Shares and Retirals operations of the bank, including continuous improvement projects, execution of strategy, strengthening the process controls and deliver quality and cost effective services to country and manage strong team of professionals in GPS & deliver with strong customer relationship skills and improved specialisation with zero or less dependency
Business
  • Build world class Operations unit ensure services defined in the service catalogue are delivered at cost and quality levels consistent with SLA s
  • Manage & drive a high performing team of Benefits, Shares and Retirals professionals and manage multiple geography/locations.
  • Deliver KPIs related to Benefits, Shares and Retirals Administration
  • Ownership of Benefit Transformation projects including the timing of when flexible benefits are introduced to the market, which benefits are offered and on what terms, and how legacy amounts are levelled up, discontinued or grandfathered
  • Build and engage a sustainable team- focus on hiring and engaging a sustainable team of Benefits, Shares and Retirals ops professionals and help get them familiar with the SCB s processes and culture, driving for improved performance and world class service delivery.
  • Drive process improvement set targets for annual process improvement and drive and support efforts aimed at achieving these targets; ensure process consistency with other countries, while remaining relevant to the local industry and market to build a sustainable team
  • Measure performance oversee meaningful regular discussions with countries, coordinated with bank standards
  • Vendor Governance participate in the regional vendor service review meetings and ensure high level service delivery from them, escalate issues for quick closure
  • Migrate work from countries Collaborate with Migration Lead/ Project team to oversee migrations to GPS
  • Stakeholder Management for GPS - High level stakeholder interaction with the Regional SD, HR, and other global stakeholders to understand the business needs, potential changes and service level, guiding the teams accordingly.
  • Built and nurtured strong working relationships with all levels of this globally spread organisation; working closely with key stakeholders, third party providers, HR and others to resolve issues and drive end-to-end process improvements.
  • Enabled organization wide restructuring initiative leading to significant reduction in costs.
People and Talent
  • Supervise the Benefits, Shares and Retirals team, including their ongoing performance and compensation. Manage daily operations; manage workflow, staffing and schedules to meet operational goals.
  • Manage client escalations with the team and other areas
  • Identify and assess talent and succession planning in the Benefits, Shares and Retirals team
  • Metrics & Performance Responsibilities
  • Identify, define and design business improvement initiatives and act as an agent of change within the GPS to ensure constant improvements in quality and service levels.
  • Culture Steward:
  • Accountable for the team employee engagement and develops action plans for continuous improvement. Direct, support and motivate staff to provide the highest quality of service in the most cost-effective way.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Drive operational efficiency initiatives
Risk Management
  • Partner with risk team in effective execution of CDA s.
  • Ensure Operational Risk (OR) and Compliance requirements are met.
  • Facilitate audit / compliance review for Service Delivery and ensure remedial actions are implemented timely.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
