Job Description

  • The position ensures timely and accurate preparation of Local BOD packs and various other reporting to BOD Committees including the Audit Committee - Submission of timely and accurate reporting is critical to success. Additionally, advanced level engagement is required with all sections within Finance, the Company Secretary and Head Office to ensure implementation of good Corporate governance framework. Control and compliance mindset are prerequisite for success.
  • Reporting to the Board of Directors on Financials this requires critical assessment of the regulatory minimum reporting, designing an optimum approach for quarterly reporting pack for Board and Audit Committee with necessary analysis on key drivers. Report accurately and on time.
  • Requires skilful navigation of various aspects of reporting including but not limited to local financial statements, segmental reporting and key revenue drivers, capital efficiencies, key performance and stability ratios, cost drivers etc. This requires matured interactions all sections within Finance as well as with Company Secretary and Compliance Unit
  • Build necessary processes and controls for compliance with new regulations/circulars
  • Serve as finance lead for working with senior leadership and control partners like Legal & Compliance, Technology & Ops teams to deliver best in class finance governance framework
  • Ensure transparency and understanding of financial issues, risks and opportunities and ensure a sound oversight on compliances for Finance
  • Partner with Company Secretary to ensure compliance with Companies Act and rules thereunder, other applicable regulations and standards, optimize the impact arising from the compliance of various regulations
  • Lead all BOD approval processes so far as these has interactions with Finance
  • Take lead to finalize MD&A / Directors Report of the Bank
  • Responsible for establishing processes and KPI/ Scorecard for Finance function as a whole and help Finance to drive and execute all stated objectives
  • Collaborate with CFO to develop and implement plans for the operating infrastructure for Finance, process and help him driving people s agenda.
  • Maintain continuous lines of communication for all critical regulatory development.
  • Minimum 8-10 years experience in similar role in Banks.
  • Exposure in RBI regulatory reporting
  • Understanding of Capital Adequacy, Leverage and Prudential norms
  • Exposure to financial accounting and reporting under IFRS / IndAS
  • Good understanding of Companies Act compliances as applicable to Finance
  • Good knowledge of Banking products both Corporate and Retail
  • Exposure in driving reporting to BOD, Audit Committee etc
  • Good understanding of Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR)
