Job Description

    Role Purpose The solution head is responsible for enabling solution-led growth (strategic and operational) and provide leadership guidance in developing new opportunities. He / She will directly manage a team of technical practice heads, solution architects and cloud architects covering the cloud & infrastructure services portfolio and will also be responsible as disciplinary manager for the team. This is a client facing role, responsible for the development of the overall vision that underlies the projected solution and transforms that vision into a solution that can be implemented and achieves the client s expected outcomes. People Management The solution head is responsible for nurturing technological and methodological innovation within employees, for building respective practice talent, Career planning/ competency development/ re-skilling of employees taking into consideration the forecasted demand from the country/region. The solution head will ensure fair salary development for employees in his area and will be responsible for the implementation of the MSI. The solution head manages the demands related to on time fulfilment for the requesting customer account. He / She will assist to drive efficiency and explore further resource supply. The solution head is responsible for the performance management incl. annual appraisals of the employees assigned to his/her practice. KPI - TCV supported, Win-rate, Solution Innovation/Repeatability, People mgmt. Roles & Responsibilities: Roles & Responsibilities Technical Excellence and Portfolio The solution head supports the sales & presales team by providing cutting edge solutions in his/her practice, thus supporting new bids as well as existing accounts. He / She will have to leverage the capabilities of the global practices within Wipro and will work closely with the experts on these local pursuits. The solution head participates actively in the development and implementation of business strategies that helps in business growth of the GBL. These include developing portfolio together with the Practice Sales, Presales, Consulting as well as the sales and delivery management. Accountable for activities around solution ideation and solution design. Creates the win theme for the solution track Understands business context and challenges to define the vision and requirements for the solution. Recommends potential options, selecting the most optimal option (across RFI/RFP and proactive pursuits) Co-creates with the client and communicates how Wipro s solution achieves the client s desired outcomes Successfully incorporates alliance partner solutions, acquired entity solutions, assets/tools/IPs in the solution to bring best of Wipro to the design Assures solution is not only fit for the specific purpose but also adheres to standards and guidelines of the practice solutions If scope/top-down pricing changes, proactively adjusts and modifies the solution Spends 10-15% of time on building and adopting uniform architecture and standards methodology, changes to standards when necessary Qualifications: Desired capabilities/ skillsets: Should have a minimum of 12 - 15 years experience in working on solution design and experience around anchoring of solution across multiple infra towers. Should have expertise in at least -12 infra towers which would help stitch in the multitower CIS deals. Candidate should have a strong Technical and Domain knowledge with regards to infrastructure services.,
