Job Description

The Senior Product Software Engineer will be responsible for:Basic Function

  • This role is part of the Enterprise Architecture organization. Data Engineers will be involved in a variety of projects to incorporate Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies in various state-of-the art products and solutions within Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting businesses around the globe.
Essential Duties and responsibilitiesWork side-by-side with machine learning engineers to solve AI problemsProvide expertise in ETL, data wrangling, data analysis and feature engineering using large, complex data sets from a wide variety of sourcesCreate and maintain an optimal, scalable, and automated data pipeline, augmenting a broader machine learning pipelineImplement feature engineering as part of a machine learning model training workflowSupport the development of proofs of concept to demonstrate the application of AI/ML capabilities in solving customer problems in collaboration with product and other development teamsCollaborate effectively with other teams across Wolters KluwerA self-starter who can align the technology solution with a business goalJob QualificationsEducation:Minimum of a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent, specializing in data engineering or a related fieldaExperience:
  • 5 years experience in supporting development of production-ready solutions leveraging data engineering
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Python and open source libraries and tools such as NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, pandas, matplotlib, anaconda, jupyter, etc.
  • Working knowledge of machine learning
  • Advanced working SQL and NoSQL knowledge, experience working with relational databases (e.g., RDS, Oracle, Postgres) and document databases (e.g., DynamoDB, Cosmos DB)
  • Working knowledge of languages such as Java, C#, C
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS or Azure) for solution delivery
  • Experience working with agile and Software Development Lifecycle tools (e.g. ADO, JIRA, Confluence, Git) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications: (First list requirements, followed by preferences.)
  • Experience with TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Azure SQL Data Warehouse) and search engines (e.g., Solr, Elasticsearch)
  • Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
  • Experience in machine learning pipeline frameworks like MLflow or SageMaker
  • Knowledge of tax and accounting software
  • Working in a fast paced, changing environment.
