Business Analyst.Responsible for liaising with Operation/Business users and gathering the requirements.Analyzing the requirements and converting the user requirements into high quality functional specifications.Analyzing the system behavior to conduct feasibility analysis and be able to design solutions that have a minimum impact on the overall system.Conduct, co-ordinate functional, and user acceptance testing.Co-ordination skills to work across teams and ability to independently co-ordinate with different teams and stakeholders across locations.Prioritize tasks effectively taking into account the timelines and raise red flags on time.Identify external and internal dependencies w.r.t the planned tasks and publish the remediation plan for overcoming the dependencies.Ensuring that the project and organization standards are followed during various phases of software development life cycle and day-to-day development work.Maintain administration tasks; i.e. Jira to record progress against tasks, OneNote for documentation and Clarity for booking in time, etcContributing ResponsibilitiesSprint planningPrioritization of enhancementsTechnical & Behavioral CompetenciesIT system design and testing : Interfaces between systems (FO feeding Back offices, Back offices feeding settlement ,Clearing houses )Good understanding of data flowing between systems throughout the trade life cycleA strong knowledge of Middle/Back Office functionsTrade lifecycleSettlement processingProfit and Loss calculationAccountingStatic data on SecuritiesMarket data & pricesProduct knowledge : Cash equities, Repo & SLAB s, Future and Options, (Knowledge is required more in how these products are processed and settled in the market and their trade lifecycle)Regulatory initiatives such as Dodd Frank, EMIR, Clearing.Experience with understanding complex systems, analysing and resolving issues and writing functional and technical specifications, and test plans.Experience in co-ordinating a dispersed set of stakeholders (functionally and geographically)Experience with having organised and conducted all types of testing in a Banking environment.Experience with structured project methodology.Understanding of business analysis and systems analysisExperience in drafting test plans, test scenario and test casesExperience in executing functional testingKnowledge of analysis methodologies like entity-relation modelling, use cases, process / transformation analysisBe able to demonstrate an understanding of how business processes have been implemented and how data flows through those processes.Ability to be able to represent a data flow and system process into a Visio diagram for presentation purposes to stakeholdersAbility to work with technology to assist with analysis eg SQL, AccessA good knowledge of Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint is requested.Specific Qualifications (if required)BE in computer science or IT would be preferable.
