Job Description

The Reverse Logistics Specialist role is responsible to manage the critical function of RMA system inputs as assisting our customers in returned their failed components to DDN. This role has a customer facing component to it so good communication skills are a must have. Successful execution of the responsibilities will have a significant impact on the profitability of the Global Services organization by insuring the overall reverse logistics loop is well populated and very efficient. Among the duties for this role will be using Oracle and Salesforce.com to input and track RMAs, generating regular reporting related to delinquent RMAs and then working with those customer to assist them in the return process.Duties

  • Process development skills, taking data and creating standard daily processes to drive the capture of defective goods, create a remote receiving process to receive in the SSLs prior to sweeping defective products back to factory and creation and ownership of reporting templates.
Interaction with Account or support teams, when we have exhausted all avenues for getting the material back, or when we need an additional point of contact.
  • Contact with customer via either phone or e-mail to try to retrieve material from a dispatch when standard return process labels are not used or received.
  • Creating/sending RAWB or return label when a customer says they did not get one. Reaching out to the SSL in the case of international locations to have one sent.
  • Updates into SFDC with RAWB numbers and closing out a dispatch when the material has been returned.
  • Resolving RMA questions when the defective materials are returned to factory for receiving.
  • Scheduling of pick-ups of the defective material when customer is unwilling or unable to return the material on their own, or if the material is too large for the Field Engineer to take with them.
  • Weekly metrics dashboard updates and monthly reporting.
  • Maintain progress records from a shared file on each RMA to be returned.
  • Back up for the dispatch creation team.
  • RAWB activity status checked daily and updated in SFDC.
  • Working with Account teams in order to invoice customers for material not returned.
  • Working with Account teams for customers who cannot return material due to company policies, but have not purchased non-returnable options.
  • Monitoring, initiating and tracking orders for the return of Defective Material from the Global depot network.
Qualifications
  • Experience with logistics or support processes in a technology company
  • Oracle input experience, preferable with the RMA process
