Job Description

CHANNEL:B2B / GROUP SALESMINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-5 Years of experience, Health Insurance/ General Insurance preferably handling Broker Relationship
  • A post graduate degree in any discipline; preferably MBA.
  • Has demonstrated capabilities of managing multiple teams
  • Age 38 years
JOB SUMMARY:Drive the growth agenda for company through leveraging the Broking/Agency/Banca Channel and driving higher penetration for the Channel at the Regional level; Engage with the key stakeholders across the channel partner network; Liaison with internal departments to structure business opportunities for customized solutions; Guidance, Training and Leading a sales team of Business Development ManagersKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:STRATEGIC:
  • Understand the key priorities and plans for the organization, Sales & Distribution Network/ Region
  • Cascade the plans to the Region/ Branch level, ensuring alignment in terms of growth, penetration, product-mix, profitability etc
  • Provide inputs for the manpower planning exercise for the Region ensuring maximization of productivity
  • Ensure ongoing research on the current dynamics within the allocated geography and regularly seek inputs from the Partners; incorporate the learnings from the same and provide insights while planning for the Region
  • Develop the annual budget for the department, along with the allocation for various activities
  • Monitor adherence to the budgets; take corrective actions in case of variances
  • Drive achievement of the Regional Sales objectives for Group Business
  • Ensure focus on aspects of customer acquisition and retention at the Region/ Branch level
  • Ensure provision of the key enabling and functional inputs for the Sales teams at the Region/ Branches
  • Actively guide the Sales team to ensure adherence to the key functional and enabling processes/ guidelines
FUNCTIONAL:
  • Drive implementation of the key sales initiatives planned for the at the Regional and National level, ensuring effective, efficient and standardized deployment
  • Liaise with the Underwriting, Operations and Claims functions to ensure effective coordination and working;
  • Identify avenues for improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of the Sales teams; provide feedback to superiors on the same
  • Conduct performance/ business review for Channel performance at the Regional/ Branch level at defined intervals, identify gaps and take corrective action
  • Review all MIS Reports and take corrective actions in case of variances
CHANNEL PARTNER MANAGEMENT:
  • Build relationships with the Brokers, Agents and Banca partners. Work in close coordination with Regional Sales Head Agency/Banca for the same
  • Ensure regular deployment of training and capability development initiatives for the Channel Partner staff
  • Share the feedback received from Channel Partners and the Branches with superiors for suitable action
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
  • Drive a culture of performance Set goals, review performance and provide feedback so as to ensure a motivated and committed team
  • Ensure adequate capability development of employees;
  • Support the HR personnel in acquisition of talent as per approved manpower plan/ business needs
  • Foster an environment of learning, excellence and innovation within all aspects of team work in the department
