Platform ConsultantPosting Location : Location IN-MumbaiPosting date 4 hours ago(10/7/2021 6:55 AM)Job ID 89597 Workday ID R-015922 Job summary The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Platform Consultant focused on platform and cloud offerings to join us in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will be responsible for the on-site delivery and implementation of our solutions and offerings for the Professional Services team. You ll gain understanding of customer platform and cloud requirements with a particular focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat Virtualization by making recommendations, based on customer environments, that will create possibilities and resolve problems. Primary job responsibilities

  • Implement solutions based on Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform integrating with Red Hat OpenShift
  • Create modern infrastructure platform automation solutions
  • Constantly learn about new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
  • Design complex solutions like system management, cluster and storage, and virtualization
  • Collaborate with project and customer team members to meet timelines and goals
  • Contribute to project documentation and diagrams, including quality assurance (QA), ticket, and bug management
  • Mentor team members and transfer knowledge to customers
  • Work with senior associates to increase adoption of automation techniques and DevOps processes to improve software delivery, including business-IT alignment, infrastructure and application uptime and availability, and time to market (TTM)
  • Design and advocate solutions using cloud technologies, design principles, integration points, and automation methods
  • Standardize open source Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) solutions delivery in services playbooks and solutions
  • Guide presales conversations, discovery sessions, and solutions development
Required skills
  • 8+ years of experience working on-site with enterprise customers on a range of development and deployment projects
  • Advanced knowledge of Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Red Hat Cloud Suite
  • Deep knowledge of Linux internals, including performance tuning experience, troubleshooting, bug fix updates, and core builds
  • Thorough knowledge of system management, clustering and storage management, virtualization, and directory server technologies
  • Demonstrated experience communicating value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders and diverse audiences
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer management skills
