Job Description

Open Source EvangelistJob Locations IN-MumbaiRequisition ID 2021-57411 Category Research & Development Whats the role HERE is looking for a skilled open source engineer to be the face of our Open Source Office in India to help grow our internal and external open source initiatives.Responsibilities

  • Promote and drive the HERE open source culture and related processes across HERE offices in India
  • Facilitate HERE open source projects from initial open sourcing to supporting its maintainers
  • Ensure proper usage and compliance with open source community practices as well as HERE Open Source Office, Legal and Security
  • Develop and deploy training for employees on open source practices from contribution to compliance and community participation
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the open source community for HERE.
Who are you
  • True passion for open source movement
  • Track record as an active Open Source contributor, e.g. on GitHub
  • Experience in organizing activities like hackathons, tech meetups and giving trainings, seminars or talks
  • Experience with following and evangelizing best software development practices
  • At least 5 years of professional working experience in Agile software development
  • At least 2 years of prior Project Management experience in a customer facing role
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work with diverse personality types in globally distributed teams
  • Team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment across many job functions
