Job Description

    Network Security Engineer--Category-L2Exp- 3 to 6 yrsLocation- Maharashtra MumbaiExp- 15days to ImmediateIndividual should be Graduate in IT or Science background with a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience working in a 24/7 environment.Firewall certifications: Any one - CCSA, CCSE, CCMSE, CCSM, PCNSE is required.Experience with Checkpoint Next Generation Firewalls, Cisco FirepowerFamiliar with Enterprise Firewall management tools such as AlgoSec.Strong understanding of networking and security systems including: routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, authentication systems, VPN, anti-virus, Web Proxies, vulnerability management systems, content filtering and log management.Manage firewall and network security systems by establishing and enforcing approved policiesAnalyse network security requirements and implement perimeter security changesUtilizing industry best practices for security, disaster recovery, business continuity, change control, the engineer willdesign, configure, manage and troubleshoot a variety of network firewall technologiesServe as a security administrator in coordinating and troubleshooting with customers, other infrastructure support activities and business unitsDevelop network documentation of security infrastructureMonitor network performance and implement performance tuning as necessaryResponsible for installing software, applying patches, managing file systems, and monitoring performance of Firewall systemsPerforms data backups and restoration of managed systemsAssist in the certification and accreditation process for managed systems and networksReview daily logs for managed systems and report on unusual activityParticipate in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) associated with managed systems and applicationsCollaborate with IT staff on projects and initiativesProvide input for a monthly progress and status reportSolid experience configuring and troubleshooting routing and switched infrastructure and security certifications highly desirableExperience in network security including: Device Hardening and patching, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Firewalls, and vulnerability assessment and intrusion detectionExperience with Next Generation firewalls, Sandboxing, anti APT.Understanding of controls (e.g. access control, auditing, authentication, encryption, integrity, physical security, and application security)Must be well versed in VPN systems, encryption schemas and algorithms, various authorization and authentication mechanisms/software, network monitoring and sniffing, TCP/IP networksExperience in administering and troubleshooting firewalls within medium to large, complex organizationsExperience with packet capture and analysis methodologiesFirewall Administrator will provide technical support and troubleshooting of managed systems and networksDiagnose and resolve complex network problems and improve network performance and reliabilityStrong understanding of Firewall functions and operations (proxy, proxy-arp, NAT, stateful packet inspection, circuit layer gateways, and application layer gateway)Ideal candidate will have experience with TCP/IP protocols and the OSI model and how they apply to production systems and networksStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
