Job Description

Job Title: Market Risk AnalystLocation: PuneIntroduction:As an Analyst for the RIS team, the resource should be an build 2E2 process knowledge to be able to take ownership of the specific processes ( RIS Respective Asset Class/ Non Business Line aligned ). This primarily involves co-ordinating with stakeholders, Validation, sign-off and control activities for Market Risk Activities. Assist with Risk Control measures ( CFW, RFE Default Node escalation , process improvement projects/ initiatives What will you be doing

  • Take ownership to ensure timeliness / quality of production of key Market Risk production ( Market Data &CCR Validation, VaR Production for Respective Asset Class , Back Testing , FDSF etc )
  • Monitor, escalate any production gaps (Process & system issues) to the management team or IT.
  • Ensure that adequate controls are in place to ensure qualitative and timely delivery.
  • Build process documentation and strengthen controls so as to create a robust environment to ensure the function meets all external and internal operating standards

  • Post grad Degree with some quantitative subjects
  • Candidate must have an analytical/quantitative bent of mind.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to also work independently on mini-projects when required
  • Self-motivated, takes ownership of responsibilities assigned to him/her and working towards closure of issues
  • Ability to deal with senior stake holders across different time zones ( RIS Mumbai support Risk Managers in Asia, EMEA & NA )
  • Good knowledge of Market Risk concepts and methodologies with an emphasis on Respective Asset Class Products
Skills that will help you in the Role:
  • Proficient in programming languages - VBA, SQL ( Preferred )
  • Bachelor s degree in an analytical area from a reputed institution is required.
  • Able to pay attention to detail and demonstrate awareness of internal controls
  • Willing to challenge existing processes in a tactful manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Excellent team player with the ability to also work independently on mini-projects when required
  • Self-motivated, takes ownership of responsibilities assigned to him/her and working towards closure of issues
  • Ability to cope with change, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to deal with senior stake holders across different time zones ( RIS Mumbai support Risk Managers in Asia and EMEA )
  • Proficient in MS Excel ( including using Macros)
