  • To conceptualize, develop and implement effective collections strategies and initiatives to aid and optimize frontline collection activities. These strategies should encompass delinquent portfolio across all retail & business banking loans.
  • To effectively monitor and review portfolio trends to ensure control over delinquencies
The Role Responsibilities
  • Develop collection strategies and initiatives based on needs of the individual portfolio and linked to:
    • Tele-calling strategies (across all buckets)
    • Outsourced agency collections
    • Cost of collections/ recoveries
    • Channel management
    • Analytics- and modeling-based treatment plans
    • Non-traditional Collections portfolios such as Business Working Capital, Facilities against shares etc.
    • Differential treatment as per location and volumes metros vs. out-locations/ small centers
    • Process design to drive frontline as well as back-end collection activities through digital means and reducing/ eliminating manual processes
  • Ensure goal-based performance tracking of all collection initiatives.
  • Design and continuously monitor targets for in-house staff as well as channel partners
  • Initiate, review and manage effective Incentive programs and promotional campaigns to enhance the performance of the inhouse and partner staff while minimizing impact on budgeted Cost. Ensure that appropriate controls in place and no impact noted in staff conduct
  • Budget/ forecast, track and monitor unit cost, IIP and Loan Impairment
  • Continuously review and upgrade all MI reports used by the Collections unit. Highlight trends (negative or positive) at a portfolio as well as collections channel level. Liaise with support units such as RRS/ GBS to streamline the same
  • Provide timely update & feedback to internal and external stakeholders
  • Implement and monitor any initiatives/ tests designed at a Group level and rolled out for the country
  • Ensure satisfactory audits and regulatory compliance in all aspects related to collections strategy
Our Ideal Candidate
  • MBA/ CA/ PhD from a premier institute with minimum experience and exposure to Collections/ Credit function
  • Ability to conceptualize, execute and monitor collections strategies and initiatives
  • Good analytical skills with knowledge of SAS and other such tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
