Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of the Business Finance team1. Business Intelligence:- Shore up business insights by engaging closely with business heads and channel teams- Liaise with central FPA team to monitor budgetary targets from time to time and calibrate quarterly and monthly business targets - Partner with Investor Relations team on feedback of companys financial performance from the analyst and investor on a periodic basis- Provide strategic inputs to central Finance team on annual budgeting exercise like highlighting industry trends, potential margin trajectory, key growth products, cost outlook and product level profitability among others- Strategic engagement with products, operations and channel teams to evaluate traction of products on ground and devise financial roadmap of individual products2. Portfolio Planning:- Carve out product plans from the Bank level budget into realistic and achievable targets for products and channel teams- Daily ,weekly ,quarterly portfolio planning and monitoring comprising revenue mix, throughput mix and margin mix to boost overall growth, margins and profitability - Synthesize a balance of business growth and profitability aspirations among business teams by engaging frequently with them and reduce friction on macro level P&L and ground level aspirations for the teams- Monitor month-wise product commercials, take rates, margins and incentives rolled out by channel team and analyze business volume sensitivity3. Geography/ Product wise profitability- Keep regular track of product level and geography wise costs - Initiate product wise cost allocation framework to devise product level profitability- Devise product level P&L drilled down till PAT level4. Business guidance:- Periodic presentations to management on portfolio performance and future strategies for dealing with investors /external parties - Build predictability in performance at a Bank level as well as at various individual product levels- Ensure structured visibility of historic as well as future financial performance dashboards to the management for their interactions with various external stakeholders5. Strategy- Develop optimal capital allocation strategies among different products and verticals- Devise financial dashboards to product teams drilled down to PAT and ROE levels for their respective products - Liaise with product and channel team to rationalize deviation from margin trajectory, if any- Devise ROE based targets to product teams- Structured quarterly plan by calibrating growth and margin levers product wise so as to meet the annual Bank level targets- Industry research on new products, pricing and execution model of peers- Develop internal research papers on new products that are being offered by peers.Expertise- Atleast 15 years of experience of which 5-7 years in leading a team of experts in Business Finance- CPA/CA and/or MBA would be a plus.- Excellent written and oral communication skills.- Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills must possess impressive business acumen and well versed with all financial reporting systems and best practices.Ability to drive outcomes through a matrix organization with multiple stakeholdersHighest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organizedAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; require excellent time management skillsThis a Mumbai based position with HQ in Navi Mumbai- Hence would prefer candidates from in and around the close vicinity . Also position requires to be in office on a regular basis.,
