Job Description

Cultivate and maintain strong, proactive, two-way relationships with key industry influencers that result in positive assessments and coverage for the company and its businesses. Execute aggressive media pitching, executive interview and speaking programs, providing prep materials, coaching and counseling to ensure that presentations and interviews are on message. Maintain strong, leverageable knowledge of competitor moves, market dynamics and customer issues that enable competitive PR/AR moves. Manage, direct and motivate agencies to execute against stated plans and objectives. Manage measurement and evaluation of long-term and short-term effectiveness and recommend improvements. Scope may be global, regional, sub-regional or local/country. Ensure work aligns with company s brand identity and messaging framework.Responsibilities:

  • Support all internal and external communication activity for India
  • Plan, execute and measure PR/AR programs and tactics aimed at raising understanding and credibility of the companys offerings.
  • Prepare news and launch activities, including coordinating media and analyst interviews, tours, events, generating releases, presentations and other materials as appropriate, pitching news stories to media.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media and industry analysts
  • Report on all coverage in the Indian market
  • Maintain and manage database of all key sector and mainline media
  • Assist with PR projects and events, including logistics support as needed
  • Support PR agency whenever they need any help
  • Work closely with social media manager on executive tweets
  • Manage and direct assigned agencies or contractors as needed.
  • Manage program budgets as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
  • An ideal candidate should be someone with 3-5 years of good experience in a related function/IT industry/PR agency.
  • Applicants with an academic background of Communications/ Marketing or English (Hons.) will be preferred.
  • The candidate should be an expert in MS Office Powerpoint, Word and Excel at least.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Solid writing and editing skills - some peer or manager edits typically needed.
  • Strong oral communications skills; ability to think on feet.
  • Organization and program management skills.
  • Ability to link PR/AR plans and activities to business results.
  • Analytic skills (measurement, ROI).
  • Tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong time and project management skills with a work ethic to do whatever is required.
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to work on own with minimal direct day-to-day supervision
  • Confident and self-motivated both individually and in a team.
  • Eager to perform and exceed expectations
