A business exhibiting the same unique combination of management skills, best practice methods and adventurous spirit that exists with Mace globally.The roleEHS SupervisorYour responsibilities will include: Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring that health and safety regulations, legislation, policies and minimising occupational risk in the work place is followed. Managing and directing the site teams in achieving EHS targets and objectives. Directing development, maintaining and achieving goals in support of corporate and business group s EHS strategic initiatives. Supporting creation of EHS goals for the project team and appropriate activity based goals for the leadership team, project managers and other members to drive EHS culture, compliance and results Facilitating risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Developing and maintaining safety and health programmes and policies. Inspecting and assessing work areas, equipment and processes for safety. Determining appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives. Understanding and documenting compliance with the local regulations. Driving and promoting zero incident EHS culture throughout the site. Leading incident response policy development, training and implementation. Creating training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked completion. Performing other duties as assigned. The requirementsYour experience, knowledge and skills need to include: Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role at a supervisory level. Experience working in a construction or consultancy industry. Local experience and language skills are essential. Extensive knowledge in EHS programmes and compliance issues. Good IT skills. Qualifications A degree qualification in environmental, safety or related subject is essential for client approval. A health and safety certification i.e. NEBOSH or IOSH is essential.
