Job Description

    Head Business Development- Ports & Value added warehousing- PE Investment- The organization was established to develop, own and operate ports and logistics facilities in India. - Their maiden project is the development of a world class multipurpose terminal and logistics facility. - The organization will also house an ultra-modern logistics complex. The facility will be fully IT enabled, pilferage proof and will provide seamless supply-chain solutions to importers, exporters, shipping lines, custom house agents and freight forwarders. Skills & Abilities : Sales Strategy : The ability to devise a strong sales strategy, and the experience needed to execute it is paramount for the position. We would like to meet professionals who have a strong network with large corporations that have high volumes of shipping and complex logistical needs. They need to have demonstrated successful executions in the sectors of shipping, ports, freight forwarding, warehousing, or general supply chain and logistics. Leadership : The position will require hands-on managerial skills, with a team that needs to be mentored, nurtured, and expanded per their leader. A strong record of hiring and developing teams will be a major advantage. Analytics & Reporting : We want someone with strong people skills, but a data-driven decision maker is a necessity in this day and age. The ability to envision, and the skill to enact a strong data reports structure will be required. Relationships : Responsible for the quality of relationship with the clients, as well as being the voice of these stakeholders to the rest of the management and the board. The documents, and communication cycles for these relationships, via policies, procedures, analytics, reports (interim and annual) targeted to each set of stakeholders from the board to the shareholders, will thus be in your purview. Recommended Background : We are looking for someone who understands the logistics industry and has experience in leading or assisting the leadership of a sales/BD vertical in the industry.,
