A hands-on senior data scientist with strong statistical skills and proficiency with machine learning techniques Overseeing, validating AI model efficacy generated by data science teams across the organization for production use Building scalable supervised and unsupervised models Collaborating with product management teams to maintain open lines of communication throughout the lifecycle of product and associated scientific R&D Staying abreast of shifting scientific paradigms around predictive data analytics Participating in the strategic business and product planning process and translating requirements to alternate scientific ways of execution Being an active communicator - communicating and promoting scientific vision for solutions Generating ideas to build sustainable and reusable data science ecosystem Providing leadership for creating results oriented and high performing teams Specific Knowledge/Skills Problem-solving with determination, perseverance, and grit Knowledge of optimization, simulation, classification, regression, decision trees, neural networks, cluster analysis, mixed models and forecasting models. Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as Random Forrest, K Means, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Tree etc. Experience in feature engineering, hyper parameter tuning, Model Testing, Cross Validation and accuracy analysis. Experience with data science toolkits, such as R, Python, NumPy, and TensorFlow. Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra Good Knowledge of NLG, NLP, topic modeling, and text classification Strong background in one or more of: Deep Learning, Clustering, Classifying, Computer Vision, Recommendation Systems, Sentiment Analysis, Pattern Recognition, and predictive analytics Experience with technologies such as - as NoSQL, Graph, Document, Timeseries, Relational databases and SQL Experience with Python. Knowledge of Java and scripting a plus Excellent communication skills, strong team player, and the ability to work cross functionally Experience managing and working with globally distributed teams and business partners Desired Experience Previous Data Science Leadership roles for high growth or disruptive software companies is preferred Preference for financial services experience in Equities. Basic knowledge of Fixed Income is a good to have but not necessary Desired Qualification M.S./PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or Economics 7+ years of data science experience Fluency with analytical programming, including libraries for cleaning, reshaping, exploring and visualizing data Knowledge of data lakes, data warehouse, caching technologies, NoSQL, graph, document, timeseries, and columnar databases is desired An understanding of modern data mining and SQL is required Experience with cloud technologies is a plus To all recruitment agencies : MSCI does not accept unsolicited CVs/Resumes.
